See a list of all 2016-17 Texas Educator Certification Program tests (PDF) (updated 8/22/16). This list shows each test name, test code, test format, test dates and any important notes regarding the administration.
A new informational video from the ETS Office of Disability Policy is now available. This video presents a brief overview of the Office of Disability Policy, highlights some recent legal changes under the Americans with Disabilities Amendments Act, and reviews the application process for test takers with disabilities.
To better explain the new payment processing, a document is now available showing you screen shots of the registration process for a candidate registering for a test through the ETS system and then making a payment through the Texas.gov system. Included are slides showing how payments will work for ancillary fees (e.g., change fees, score review fees, international site fees) that will be processed through the regular ETS payment system.
Candidates will still go through the regular ETS system to register for a test and pay for ancillary fees, but when they click on the link to pay for a test registration, they will be automatically taken to the Texas.gov website to enter their payment information. The biggest change is for those candidates who want to process a payment for a test registration and an ancillary fee. They must make two separate payments to complete their transaction, and this is explained in the document provided.
The March 2017 TExES Faculty Manual (PDF) is designed to help faculty, administrators and educators in EPPs make use of the information produced by the TExES program.
The Texas Educator Certification Tests Technical Manual (PDF) explains various technical aspects of the Texas Educator Certification assessments, including the purpose and use of the tests, how the tests are developed, test validity, statistical analyses that support the psychometric quality of the tests and score reporting processes.
The online issue of the event calendar is password-protected and uses the same password as the EPP Newsletter. You can obtain a password by emailing EPPAdmin@ets.org.
Just about any troubleshooting issue you may have, such as getting an intern/educator registered to take a test or running reports and rosters in the ETS EPP Administrator section, can be resolved quickly by sending your inquiry to the EPPAdmin@ets.org mailbox.
You can email the EPP Admin mailbox for practically any registration, test administration or score reporting issue. We encourage you to make sending an email to this mailbox your first attempt to resolve these types of issues.

Representative forms of TExES and TExMaT tests have been developed by TEA and ETS. These Representative Tests are used at State Board for Educator Certification-approved EPPs throughout Texas and are designed exclusively to assist staff in measuring candidates' knowledge and skills in relation to the approved TExES and TExMaT test frameworks. They are also useful in preparing certification candidates for testing. These new Representative Tests are available now:
To order a Representative Test, log in to the secure Administrator section, review and complete the User Agreement and the Order Form, and submit them with payment and a copy of your tax-exempt certificate (if applicable).
Total test scaled scores show how candidates performed on the test as a whole and whether they passed the test. Further data about total scores for many of the Texas tests is available in the Summary Statistics for Total Scores see below.
It is important to keep the mailing information for your institution current so materials can be sent to the proper person and location. Please send updates to OS_Internet@ets.org and be sure to update your TEA profile as necessary.
