Call Center Open on Saturday, May 19 for TExES and TExMaT Testing
The Call Center will be open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. (CT) on Saturday, May 19, 2012, for the TExES and TExMaT administrations on that date. Call 1-800-205-2626 for assistance. NOTE: Remember that there are different time zones in Texas. Be sure to allow for any time difference when reporting to your test center.

2012-13 Paper-Based Testing Schedule
See the paper-based testing (PBT) schedule for the 2012-13 testing year. PBT registration will open for the 2012-13 year on Monday, July 2.

TExES ELAR 8-12 (131) Scheduled to Move from PBT-Only to CAT-Only
The TExES English Language Arts and Reading (ELAR) 8-12 (131) test is scheduled to move from PBT-only to CAT-only administrations in the fall of 2012. Examinees taking the ELAR 8-12 test currently handwrite their responses to the test's constructed-response assignment. Beginning in the fall, they will be required to enter their responses via computer.

Only one PBT administration of this test remains on the current testing year's schedule: May 19, 2012. Registration closed on May 11.

ELAR 8-12 (131) will be offered as a limited-administration CAT test beginning in the fall of 2012. The 2012-13 schedule for limited-administration CAT tests is expected to be finalized and announced in the summer of 2012.

TExES BTLPT and LOTE Administrations
Scores for the April 28-May 5 administration will be available on Tuesday, May 29. The next testing window is July 7-14. Registration will close for the July window on Friday, June 22. Before taking a BTLPT or LOTE test, it is recommended that you practice by accessing the Alternate Character Toolbar tutorial.

Limited-Administration CAT Test Administrations

TExMaT MTT Administrations
The next testing window is May 19-26. See the 2011-12 Administration-based CAT testing schedule (PDF) for a full list of administration, registration and score reporting dates.

Retaking a CAT Test
If you want to retake a CAT test, you must wait 60 days before you can retake the same test via computer. If you reregister before 60 days, the registration system will only display test dates that are at least 60 days after the previous CAT test date.

ETS CAT System Maintenance
System maintenance is performed on the ETS CAT system each Sunday from approximately 10 a.m. until approximately 2 p.m. CT. During these periods, you will NOT be able to register, reschedule or cancel any CAT exams. If you encounter any problems, please try again later.
