CAT System Maintenance
System maintenance is being performed on the ETS CAT system from approximately 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. (CT) on Sunday, February 12, 2012. During this time, you will NOT be able to register, reschedule or cancel any CAT exams administered at test centers with an APCN or APCU prefix (e.g., APCN 7711). All functions will continue to be available for test centers with an STN prefix (e.g., STN13089). Registrations for paper-based testing will not be affected.

TExES ELAR 8-12 (131) Scheduled to Move from PBT-Only to CAT-Only
The TExES English Language Arts and Reading (ELAR) 8-12 (131) test is scheduled to move from PBT-only to CAT-only administrations in the fall of 2012. Examinees taking the ELAR 8-12 test currently handwrite their responses to the test's constructed-response assignment. Beginning in the fall, they will be required to enter their responses via computer.

Only one PBT administration of this test remains on the current testing year's schedule: May 19, 2012. Note that the regular registration deadline for the May 19 administration is April 20, 2012.

ELAR 8-12 (131) will be offered as a limited-administration CAT test beginning in the fall of 2012. The 2012-13 schedule for limited-administration CAT tests is expected to be finalized and announced in the summer of 2012.

TExES BTLPT & LOTE Administrations
The next administration is February 18-25. BTLPT and LOTE French and Spanish will be offered. Limited-Administration CAT Test Administrations

TExMaT MTT Administrations
Scores for the January 28-February 4 administration will be available by February 17, 2012. The next testing window is May 19-26. See the 2011-12 Administration-based CAT testing schedule (PDF) for a full list of administration, registration and score reporting dates.

Retaking a CAT Test
If you want to retake a CAT test, you must wait 60 days before you can retake the same test via computer. If you reregister before 60 days, the registration system will only display test dates 60 days or more after the previous CAT test date.

ETS CAT System Maintenance
System maintenance is performed on the ETS CAT system each Sunday from approximately 10 a.m. until approximately 2 p.m. CST. During these periods, you will NOT be able to register, reschedule or cancel any CAT exams. If you encounter any problems, please try again later.

TEA Educator Certification Online System Maintenance
System maintenance is performed on the TEA Educator Certification Online System each Sunday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. CST. The TEA system may be temporarily unavailable during these periods. This may affect your ability to register for a test and/or view your profile. If you encounter any problems, please try again later.

    Test Center Info

    Test Center Reporting Time Policy
    You must arrive at your designated test center no later than the Test Reporting Time listed on your admission ticket. If you arrive after that time, you will not be admitted and your test fee will be forfeited. It is your responsibility to allow plenty of time to arrive by the designated time, regardless of whether there is traffic congestion, road construction, bad weather, car accidents, poor directions or any other incident that might delay arrival.

    Test Center Complaints
    If you have comments about the test center or the conditions under which you took a test, please submit them in writing to ETS. See contact information below. Complaints must be submitted or postmarked no later than 2 days after your test date.
